Yes. Previous year papers show the question style, the difficulty and the topics that repeat, and they let you practise under real timing and negative marking. Solve them after you finish the basics of each topic.
As per CEN 06/2026, CBT 1 has 100 questions of 1 mark each in 90 minutes: General Awareness 40, Mathematics 30 and General Intelligence and Reasoning 30. Each wrong answer carries a 1/3 mark negative.
CBT 2 has 120 questions of 1 mark each in 90 minutes: General Awareness 50, Mathematics 35 and General Intelligence and Reasoning 35, with 1/3 negative marking.
Every wrong answer deducts one-third of a mark. Your score is the number of correct answers minus one-third of the number of wrong answers. Unattempted questions carry no deduction.
The minimum qualifying percentage is 40% for UR and EWS, 30% for OBC-NCL and SC, and 25% for ST. These are only qualifying marks. The actual cut-off depends on the RRB, the category and the shift.
Quality matters more than count. Solve each paper in full time, then spend as long analysing it as you spent solving it. Finish the topic-wise sets first and move to full papers in the last few weeks.
Exam mode gives a full paper with the real timer and negative marking. Topic mode lets you pick one topic, such as Percentages or Railway GK, and see answers instantly so you can fix weak areas.
